Bangor Barden Ridge Comets Cricket Club is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone involved in our club. That includes our junior players, their families, our volunteers, coaches and officials.
OUR COMMITMENT
We expect everyone at the club to treat others with respect, on and off the field. Bullying, harassment, discrimination and abuse of any kind are not tolerated. This applies equally to players, parents, spectators, coaches and committee members.
The club operates under the member protection and safeguarding policies of Cricket Australia, alongside our own codes of conduct.
CHILD PROTECTION INFORMATION OFFICER
Our Child Protection Information Officer is the first point of contact if you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of anyone at the club. They can explain your options and support you through the process.
Contact Ryan Simons at vicepresident@cometscricket.com.au or 0424 580 288.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN
All coaches, team managers and volunteers in child-related roles at the club are required to hold a current NSW Working With Children Check.
RAISING A CONCERN
If something does not feel right, please raise it. You can speak to your team manager, any committee member, or contact our Child Protection Information Officer directly.
If a child is in immediate danger, call the police on 000. Concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing can also be reported to the NSW Child Protection Helpline on 132 111.
